In her glory flight, beaking a red balloon, then one that's blue, she breaks from the nonpattern of her fun. She wings to the railing, scattering confetti that's clung to her wings, as she lands near Rhea, with Trufort looking on beside Madame Rhea.
"Why spy? Fly with us!! Vampires fly!!"
She takes wing again, this time swooping low as she feels the immediate change of atmosphere, for someone below has opened the door and enters.
I blink in amazement at the voice of the owl. Yes, but, if she speaks, shouldn't I answer, but she flies away after moreorless taunting us to join her, I think.
"I heard. I think I heard." Blinking in amazement with my beloved one. "Do you think we should fly with her? Isn't that what she said?" For all my existance, I've never had an owl speak to me!!!
Her leaning against me, her arms going around my neck, most delicious and welcome and convincing. . .
"You're right; we're vampires, not balloons or owls. Let's go back to our chambers, beloved." I pull her out of site of the mischief-maker and the residents, but pause at the entrance to the chamber, kissing her upturned lips. Like always, some of her blond hair tickles my face. I adore the sensation and I love her.
*Pulled back into the embrace of his arms as well as the chamber doors, there is a sweetness in this moment made magical from the owl, the harlequin, the laughter of otherwise darkened shadows. Surrendering to his mouth, my sighs turn to soft moans. We've never had so much peace, so much time together, so much love. Yes, I love him, dearly, deeply.*
*After the kiss, we slip back into the privacy of his world, this great turret chamber which makes me feel more like his consort than a lover. Shedding his robe, I pad softly onto the high stone balcony on his parapet and let the winds buffet me. The whisper now is for him alone.*
Tru, do you know we missed our anniversary? From August to August we have moved, traveling the years somehow always ending up...here.
*Turning to him, eyes alive with the silver blue fires of my nature, my hands caress his skin and I smile.*
Our hearts are expansive and always growing and changing but....but there are thankfully come constants - like now, like this. But now, more than ever, I think of passionate release and....the draught, the poison which might allow it to happen. I want you to know the core of my being without the chance of death, and I want to know complete surrender. If it is possible, I want to know this.
*Her eyes, made a blue beyond blue by the fire burning in them, reveal how much she wants this. They are powerful and clear, staring into mine as if there is no more time at all. . .*
We missed our anniversary, you say? *Smiling and kissing the tip of her cold nose. Wind whips our hair into our faces.* Come inside; I'm cold. There. . . is that better? *I lead her to the bed, and bundle us up in the blankets.* I've been with you, so I don't think we missed the anniversary, but it's funny, how even vampire women and men seem to follow those old jokes about men forgetting birthdays, anniversaries. . . *I kiss her beautiful lips, giving her a slight nip.* You hold the keys, my heart. I'll follow you into those rooms whenever you want.
*I follow back to the soft warmth of his bed, and nestle once again into the coverlet, releasing a soft whimper and a smile at his playful yet tender nip. Then leaning against the pillows, I bring my knees up and wrap my arms around them. The amber firelight etches tall shadows to dance around the expansive room*
You know, my darling, I forgot it too. Recent events have distracted me. And how could I feel deprived, hmm?
*I turn sideways and position myself perpendicular to his body, leaning against his chest, turning my head to the left to look into that cherished angular face. One hand comes to push away a blond wisp of his hair away from his deep set eyes*
Do you have a laboratory here at the Castle my love? Perhaps we could use it for some experiments? And...*bringing my hand down to one of his closest to mine*...please, as close as you are to Sigi, I want to keep this quiet?
*Sitting back up I reach for the carafe and a wine glass which I share with him, filling it with the dark Eclipse nectar.*
*We share the wyne of life and love and her new desire I'm to also share. There's fire on the hearth, in our hearts, nature's electricity where she touches me, and flames everpresent in Rhea's eyes.*
A laboratory, my darling? No, I don't think we have one of those. If we did, it would be much more difficult to keep it quiet around Sigi, so just as well. . . Of course, there are enough chambers and rooms here for several labs, but if you already have a setup at the Bower, that would probably be the best place, don't you agree?
"I have a make shift thing at the bower, darling. In the back of one of the older tombs, tucked between Amorel's lands and mine. I will do my work there and hope that I can keep my purposes quiet. When I am ready to test it then, I shall call upon you. That night we will want to be completely alone. I'm sure there will troubling effects until we can work out the right depth of poison."
Understanding the worry he holds in his heart, she kisses him and whispers.
"Please do not worry. We shall take this very slowly. There is time and time and time...." The words smile with assurances.
*For a long moment she considers and then looks up at him.*
No one but me has been there for a very long time. It is my private place....my death place.
*She frowns a little.*
Tru, I love you deeply, dearly. I promise to show it to you one night. For now, there are things there.... she inhales slowly...that are for none but me.
*she smiles with dark tenderness, a hint of her beautiful fangs gleaming at him*
Do you mind this delay much, my love? I need to go there myself and....set things right. Then, I will show you?
*She pushes me over, perhaps to stop my teasing, and covers our faces with the silken cascade of her fair hair. Such golden light shimmers through the strands filtering the candlelight, a feast for the eyes.*
And anything regarding you can make me impatient, demanding, loving. . .
*I place my hands around the back of her head, entwining my fingers in all that hair, and kiss her until I see blue flaring across my eyelids.*
Oh my darling! I am almost twice your age! But as a vampire, it is true, there are few older or as old as you. In this I must give way and agree.
But the secrets I keep are probably truly older than me. I cannot be certain.
*And then his mouth is over mine, molding his to the shape of mine, my tongue dancing in a playful frenzy with his. Collapsing gently onto him, my arms curl about his neck and I am content to enjoy love in it's most primal form. We can play, we can be serious. In the end, there is time enough for both.*
