B's in Australia

Hi all.
As this was an Australian site for some time, I was wondering if anyone would like to join me in the quest to get the B's to grace our shores once more? I will be starting up a group on Facebook, so look out for further info.
Ash.

Just checking to see if anyone still comes to this site. I haven't found many really good photos from The B-52's early years except for here so I come here sometimes.

Doesn't seem to be overly busy here but there are some of us who like to visit every so often. Here's a question: I've a got an MP3 of the song "Debbie" in which all the vocals are sung by Keith Strickland (quite well!!), has anyone ever heard of why he hasn't sung on more of the group's tracks (apart from his parts in "Future Generation", "Dry County" & "Good Stuff")?

I was hoping some one could help me with a project. I am trying to compile a list of B-52s songs that Kate and Cindy sing lead on.
I am having a hard time with the songs that both girls sing on and trying to figure out what parts they sing.
Anyone care to help or just give me the basics on indivdual songs they sing. This would be a great help.
Thanks,
Kais

Hello !
I'm a french fan of b-52's since many years (since 1981).
In 1982, i bought the LP "Mesopotamia", and i still love this album.
But when i have buy "Mesopotamia" in CD, it wasn't the same version than the LP (it was the US one).
I would like to know if the UK version ( the real and best version for me with the long versions) does exist in CD ???
Thanks for informations, if someone inform me.
good continuations.

When Cindy was away from the band, first Julee Cruise and then Gail Ann Dorsey filled in vocally on stage. But what about the bongos? Did Julee or Gail Ann play them? Or did the B's 1) do without bongos then, 2) skip such songs altogether, or 3) utilize the services of an outside percussionist to play bongos live? Of the 5 B's songs I know of* to feature bongos, Planet Claire is just about mandatory on a typical setlist (Mesopotamia and/or Party Out of Bounds are reliable live staples as well), and IMO bongos are as essential to the spacey sound of Claire as the walkie-talkie and the falsetto.
* 6060-842 and Big Bird, in addition to the others mentioned above

The original 52 Girls and Rock Lobster? I've been hunting for these to tie up a B-52's rarities compilation i'm working on, only neither links work. If anybody could either rapidshare these or email them to me, i would be very greatful. Bizarrely the Mo-Dean one worked but these don't.
Many thanks, and please reply ASAP.

Happy New Year to all.
I got Fred's 1st album for xmas, and he seems to have a backwards message in the song Summer in Hell. Anyone know what it is? It occurs right before whichever of the ladies says "Oooh, this heat's gonna curdle my girdle!" toward the end.

I don't own the album so I couldn't tell you, but if you get a program called Audacity or one called Goldwave, and import the song into either, you can play it backwards and hear the message. I did so with Detour Thru Your Mind and heard the "I buried my parakeet in the backyard" message and it certainly put a new spin on the song.
