Hi , my name is kay Fairchild and I live in Australia.
I am trying to obtain any information about my father. His name was Josef Hetmanczyk. He married my mother in Kelso, Scotland, in 1946.He was 21 when they married,a joiner, then engaged in war service. His father was John (Decd) and his mother Getruda nee Molik. This information was obtained from their marrage certificate and his witness was Peta Zygfryd also of the polish forces.
I understand that he died possible in England as a result of a car accident in approx 1952-1957.
I would by greatful for any information or where I could obtain more info.
