I am making a short film at the moment and wonder if anyone here would be interested in participating.
The film is about the experiences of people when they arrive and settle in this country – but the story is told by their children or even their grandchildren.
The children or grandchildren don’t need to know why or how they ended up in Scotland, but they will be encouraged to talk a little about some aspects of their early life here.
How their parents or grandparents coped with things like the weather, the people, housing, shops, school etc, etc.
I understand that these children may also be very grown up now and I will be happy to talk to either men or women, or older children – the only stipulation I have is that they should have been born in Scotland.
It is a short film of around 10mins, so I am only looking for snippets of information. This will then be added together so that several people are seen to tell the story of how they came to settle here – the idea being that one person’s journey is essentially the same as the next person.
I would be very grateful of any help you may be able to give and would ask that you pass my contact details to anyone you think may be interested in participating.
