My cousin's father in law was Jozef Svelag, who was a sergeant with the 1st Polish Armoured Brigade that went in to Normandy in 1944. He was in charge of a signals tank.
Due to the fragmented nature of the Polish nation at that time my cousin's wife never saw her father after the day she was born. She and her mother were sent to Siberia on Poland's invasion. I f aany one has any information on Josef, we would be grateful. We know where he is buried in Normandy and he is visited every year. My cousin has a photograph of him in army uniform that the red cross provided many years ago. Thanks for reading and any heeelp you can give. Kind regards, Sonia Tull
