Seeking Info on Bernard B. (Buzio) Klugmann

by Alan Yates

I am seeking information for a family in the USA.

Bernard was born in Sniatyn, Galicia in 1898 to Josef and Jetti Klugmann. His nickname was Buzio. He moved to Graz, Austria in 1918 and became a merchant of fabrics and buttons.

He was married Fanny Halberg. They had one daughter, Henriette (Naomi), born in Graz in 1923. Their last residence in Graz was Valksgartenstrasse 1. They fled Austria in 1939, going to Sniatyn.

His wife and daughter were killed by the SS near Sniatyn in 1942.

He managed to get to England and registered with the Jewish Refugees Committe in London in June 1942. They only have his registration card which provided the facts that he served with the Military Government (618 MGD)of the British Army of the Rhine at the Bergen Belsen Displaced Persons Camp.

In February 1948 a Bernard B Klugmann he left for America. However, the age of this person and his wife are listed as both being 67 years of age on the Ship's Passenger List. It is possible this is not the same person!

Does anyone have any information which might help me?

Thanks
Alan

Polish 1st Armoured Brigade

by

My cousin's father in law was Jozef Svelag, who was a sergeant with the 1st Polish Armoured Brigade that went in to Normandy in 1944. He was in charge of a signals tank.
Due to the fragmented nature of the Polish nation at that time my cousin's wife never saw her father after the day she was born. She and her mother were sent to Siberia on Poland's invasion. I f aany one has any information on Josef, we would be grateful. We know where he is buried in Normandy and he is visited every year. My cousin has a photograph of him in army uniform that the red cross provided many years ago. Thanks for reading and any heeelp you can give. Kind regards, Sonia Tull

Mroszok family

by

Hi: I am trying to find information about the family of my grandfather Joseph Mroszok. He was born around 1855 and emigrated from Kupp, Poland to Alloa, Scotland somewhere on or before 1881. He was a glass worker and I think may have worked in Poznan. His father's name was Joseph Mroszok and his mother's name was Johanna Symaiski. His father was also a glass worker.

Any addresses where I might obtain birth certificates, church or government records, would be appreciated.

Thank you for any help you can give.

Stanislaw Dzialowski.

by

Hi in response to your request about Stanislaw Dzialowski, he is my Grand Father. He had seven sons, any one of them could have been the small boy you speak of. I know he presented one of the aircraft he built to the town of Mielec; I don't think it was to an individual. May I ask what has sparked your interest in my Grand Father also how did you come by the picture.
Yours sincerely Ian Dzialowski
