eric and annie decide to go to new yourk for there anniverty they send the twins to stay with annies dad and his wife . ruthie doesnt want to go stay with her grandparents and realy dont want her parents to leave but decides she will saty with lucy and kevin for the weekend . a week b4 annie and eric leave kevin byes a lap top computer cause its nessaisey for his job. in a instant message ruthie meets a guy who lied and said he was 13 and was really 17 and he asked her if she wanted to meet him. she did not no the dangers of the internet and asked lucy if she could go meet a friend from school at the mall . lucy said yes and drove her to the mall that night she waited a hour and soon a tall teenager came up to rutie and said hi are you ruthie she said yes and he said do you remenber me we chated on the computer . you look older than 13 she said iam realy 17 he said do you want to go outside a talk . she agreeed and went out side with him it was dark and before they reached the door the guy grabed ruthies arm tightly and held a gun up to her head she manged to pul away from the guy and ran into the parking lot but the guy shout her in the back . she woke up in the hospital she saw lucy standing in front of her and noticed that she had been cring "lucy" she said in a soft voice
