Hey there FLASHGamers!

I realise that we got a little over-anxious to bring the new site out for Valentine's Day. But on the flipside of the coin: once the new site comes out, I think EVERYONE will be truly impressed with the new look and feel.

As I've been watching the site come together through the hard work of my fellow FLASHGames members, and I've been personally blown away. It brings me great pride to have such a loyal team.

WHEN WILL IT BE RELEASED is the biggest question we are being asked.. so we've pushed the production release date back to *MARCH 1st, 2002*. This gives us time to put the final touches on the site, and enough pre-warning for all the patrons of the site to know when it's happening.

The newer releases will be coming out at the same time as the site launch.

We appreciate all the activity on the message board, and encourage you to keep up with your postings and ideas. Read up on other posts and expand on those ideas; don't just repost the same idea someone else did.

Thanks to everyone for making FLASHGames a great success, and hope that you continue to enjoy the games coming out in the time to come.

Till Then, Take Care
Chris "Mr. Game Show" Colbourne

When you release the new site and games, are you going to release the money cards game too? Also, I was wondering if you are still thinking about the MC Mode in High Rollers. Can't wait till March 1st & thanks for the updates! :)))))))))

On Line Games Update

February 17 2002, 1:08 AM

Thank you for the update on when the new website will
begin, along with "Bonus Island" from "Bullseye", and
"Big Numbers" from "High Rollers",in addition to the bonus rounds from "The Joker's Wild", "Tic Tac Dough",
and "Classic Concentration".

In my last letter I suggested for future FlashGames the Bonus Rounds from "Break The Bank"(1976-77 Jack Barry nighttime version), "Password Plus" and "Hot Potato". I have some more: How about "Gold Run" from
"Blockbusters",and if you do use the theme from the
NBC 1980-82 version with Bill Cullen, "Pitfall",a 1981-82 syndicated show with Alex Trebek(this was before
"Jeopardy!")and to top it off "The Big Deal" from "Let's Make A Deal" with, you guessed it the 3 doors, and why not use the voice of tv's big dealer
Monty Hall!

And,one more thing , Is "Money Cards" from "Card Sharks" coming on 3/1/2002? When it does come use the
theme to the 1978-81 NBC version with Jim Perry or the
one from the 1986-89 version with Bob Eubanks. The ver-
sion with Pat Bullard that came and went recently stunk. The Perry and Eubanks versions have a better
advantage.

Keep up the good work, and keep us posted

Bob,
In reponse to your message...

Regarding your suggestions...
- Break The Bank [Jack Barry night time version]: The show itself is too obscure to be emulated just for the bonus game.

- Password Plus: This game could be programmed. But, the reason we're not interested at this time is because it would involve too much research for developing a list of words that associate with each Password. Even with a group of writers, this would be too tedious of a task for a game that we're not getting paid to do.

- Hot Potato: Would get too boring quickly.

- Blockbusters (Gold Run): visit http://www.jrjgames.com

- Pitfall: See Hot Potato

- Let's Make A Deal[The Big Deal]: It's pointless to do this bonus game without including the main game. And because of the way the maingame is played, that to is something that wouldn't translate well as an online game.

We're using the Eubanks theme since it's the Money Cards round from the '86 run.

Blockbusters game @ JRJ

February 17 2002, 5:21 PM

I was really excited upon the release of Blockbusters form JRJ games, but when I found out that it cost $12 to play... I just can't see paying $12 for an MS-DOS game. I enjoyed his other games and I wish he would reconsider charging to play his fun games. I could buy a new game at the software store for a few extra bucks

Paying for Blockbusters

February 18 2002, 1:21 AM

Hey, I had no trouble paying for Blockbusters. After all, the quality of John Ricci's games is outstanding, and let's face it - We've gotten three GREAT games from him free over the years, and I've gotten lots of use out of them. When Blockbusters came, sure, I was disappointed that he was charging for it, too, but I didn't mind paying for it.
I understand the kind of work that goes into programming a game, and my $12 doesn't do much in the way of compensation for all the time he put in programming, sampling, and snapping pictures. When you think about it in those terms, $12 really isn't that much, is it?

Password Plus and Super Password

February 18 2002, 10:45 PM

To Dan,

In response to your message, which was a reply of doing password plus, I am in the beginning stages of starting my own production company that creates computer games and video games and all kinds of multimedia and television productions, named
Chris Cepeda-Kennedy Productions, and I just got flash, and I'm actually willing to take on doing Password Plus and even Super Password for all you high tech fanatics out there. And also the $25,000/$100,000 pyramid. But it might take some time because i am just starting on flash and i also have xara and all that good stuff so i can help your cdc productions company out as well as jrj games too.

So if you are interested in my help, i will do pretty much the whole thing provided that I just need a little bit of help and tutoring in flash and xara and animating programs since i am a beginner but i will finish it one day.

To contact me,
Email me at
Headlinechasers@yahoo.com

Thank you so much for your time

Chris Cepeda-Kennedy
