I have been doing research for around 2 years now. I am willing to share what I have.
I do not have documentation for everything. It would take me at least another 2 years to type the documentation in…*L*.. But I would love to share what I have with you, as hopefully you will Share with me. Most of the people I have were/are mostly located in Putman County, Jackson County, Overton County, White County, Tennessee, but the further back in time I go, the more I find that even these families came into the Territory of Tennessee from
North Caroline, South Caroline, Virginia, and West Virginia. I am interested in all of the localities and all of the family lines.
Here is a Short list of some of the names I currently have in my Data Base. I have Family Tree Maker Software and I can convert Gedcom files easily. I currently have:
Total of 344 Surnames, 2043 Individuals, 466 Marriages, earliest entry about 1584, Thomas Fox
Longest list 17 Generations, and these numbers change every day!
I have more information on Names that are bolded .
Family Tree Maker has a great feature. With a few mouse clicks, the software will figure out your relationship to all of your ancestors on your list. If you send me your file, I will add what I need to my file from yours, have the software compute your relationship to your ancestors within your file, send your file back to you with that information, and I will send you my file so you can add what you need of it to yours. I also have several sources to many lines of Wilmoth that I have not been able to make my connection to, but I hope to with your help.

Try the variant Wilmot, Wilmott and others close. We seem to all have name spelling problems. Mainly because the Census takers put down what they thought it should be.
I was born in California from Canadian parents. I too was told we are Scotch-Irish and am curious about my family origins. Most Wilmoths I see on this site seem to be in the south east.
