I've been playing musical meds with my insurance-- and now we're supposed to try Zegerid (omeprazole). Like every med, I try to do my research on it to know what exactly I'm giving my baby. The thing is, I haven't really found anything on it. I found stuff about prilosec otc and omeprazole, but hardly anything on zegerid. Has anyone had their child on this? I'd like to know what sort of reaction they've had, and the difference between this and prilosec. thank you so much for your time.

My 7 month old daughter has been on Zegerid for almost a month now. I, too, was unable to find much about it. I did read that it is for short term use, which surprised me. I plan to ask the GI doc about that this week.
