We are finally giving reglan a try. How long will it take before we see any negative side effects? Also how long will it take to work? Right away or longer?

When Gage first took (post op) it worked right away with the second feed (for Pyloric Stenosis, they gradually reintroduce feeds). The second time he was on it, it took a couple of days. We started to notice side effects about the second week, if I remember correctly. But, always check for allergic reactions. Those should show up right away. They usually include hives and such. Call your pharmacist and they should be able to tell you. Good luck! Carla
