Ok everyone pop quiz. If you had limited funds what arts would you teach to soldiers in boot camp? What I mean is what bare essentials do you feel is necessary for a soldier to prepare for combat? I look forward to hearing your answers.

Peace Out...

I am personally more of a Jeet Kun Do kind of guy and if you are to ask new or old i couldn't tell ya. Thats because I follow the Jeet Kun Do principal of the everchanging everflowing of martial arts and if some of what Bruce used still works, then I say use it and if it doesn't then don't. Now back to the subject at hand, I would not train soldiers in Jeet Kun Do or kung fu or others of the like. These would take too much time and money to learn. If you have the time and money then I would go with Jeet Kun Do. But since we are limited, I would go with a more of a throwing martial art like akido or judo. These would be more effective since in the military you have guns to shoot with and kicking a rifle out of a hand just won't work. The throws in judo and the like would be more effective because when you throw your opponent, he is more exhausted and given less time to use his weapon. And you more time to take your weapon or his to use against him.
