Digital media are too often abused by hyped commercials that advertise their superiority over the old, analog media such as LPs, magnetic tape or silver based film.
Digital has turned lazy people into "thieves" and copy cats.
Here we have an example of imaginative work, subtle, poetic use of digital media to truly create a new form of
worthy digital expression.
Hey, I am just writing to say that I really like his artwork. When I first saw the poster with the escalator, I really liked it, but I didn't want to pay $11.99 for it. But the more I looked at it, the more it drew me in, and I finally gave in, and decided to buy it. I have it hanging at my work, in my office. I think it is inspirational. When my co-workers asked me what it meant, this was the explanation I gave them: The man is a regular, working class guy. Every day he goes to work, at a job, that he possibly does not like. The waves represent all the demands that are asked of him, from his job, and maybe his family. Every day they come at him in waves. He is contemplating his life, and he can either choose the downward escalator, and kill himself from the pressure of the demands, or he can choose the upward one, and overcome his sadness. I don't know if this is what the artist intended for us to get from this picture, but that is what I got from it. I really liked it, and I would like to see even more pictures. Keep up the good work, and thanks for your inspiring images.
