Nice trick of the eyes Marcus - we all know it is the 1/35 Trump kit with the full Voyager PE set. You are not fooling anyone.
Hey, it's been a long while and hope you are well. You simply keep cranking them out over in your little shed in the pouring rain to the highest level. However, if you will allow me one minor comment and this was apparent to me after you mentioned this was an abandoned tank - those ever-so-nice bright chipped paint edges would probably not be that new looking nor that consistent over the entire vehicle. At the very least the chipped edges of the crew hatches would be even darker and grimier from the now-long-gone crew hands grabbing those respective edges.
And speaking to the whole forum now (and not specifically about this model), take caution with this technique and really work to create different approaches with it. One thing I have noticed recently as I see more of the layered chips (plus doing them myself a lot) - an unintended result is that the chips can look like they were all made at the same time and with same method causing a bit of an articifical look to them when viewing the model as a whole. As we all know, chips happen over the entire life of a vehicle so they do not all require the high contrast edge to each chip. Varying the degree to which the edge of the chip is highlighted will greatly enhance the realism of this technique and push your model to even higher levels.
As much as I love seeing the layered chipped edges and making them myself, in this instance of vehicle abandonment, toning them down a little would make this model that much closer to perfection. In contrast, they worked great Marcus with your Char B as that one was obviously still in frontline service in your depiction of that model. I say this only because I know well your drive and passion to make the absolutely best work possible and hope you will appreciate my comment without taking offense.
Best,
Mike, from ever sunny So-Cal . . .
