is compressed from hitting the bank.
Tasca's "working suspension" is a little springy and the model is really too light to compress it. So i removed the turret and carefully
placed a heavyish book on it to push the suspension into the shape of the river bed and bank, then superglued it in place. i was able to use quite big blobs of thick CA, as once everything was "Wet" the glue wasn't noticable.
It took me a few months to get up the nerve to seal the tank in water, as i'd spent about 6 weeks building and painting the Firefly. I knew the still water would be ok as i'd used it before, it was the moving water effects that worried me! Like you say the waves a probably a little too white for a river, but as a first attempt i can live with it. Next time I'l aplly it thinner and build up the waves over a number of days.
Thanks for the feed back
