Response to Re: Tamiya's Opel Blitz |
| Hi Massimiliano,
I know what you mean about the need for other trucks to be kitted in plastic, but this vehicle was such a commonly used machine that it makes sense for Tamiya to create this new model now, and it is the only kit made by Tamiya of the type, as the other one released in Tamiya box being the Italeri production. Having just finished it, I can attest that the new release is a beautifully designed model that fits extremely well. Also it will form the basis of many conversion sets too. Hopefully if it's a success, Tamiya will be encouraged to create other trucks, although that's only my own thoughts on the matter, not a rumour!
I do agree that an 11CV in 1:35 styrene would be great, and while we are wishing for kits, I'd really like to see a premium quality model of the UAZ 469, we SO need one of those in 1:35 plastic to go with our modern subjects!
Many thanks,
Marcus, TMMI |
