Response to STUH 42 G Late - Arnhem 1944

Nice Sturmhaubitze,

The start looks very good and I can't wait to see it in paint.

I hope I’m not too late but.

If you built a StuG/StuH. witch belonged to StuG.Abt.280 during their Oosterbeek actions there has to be a big wooden crate on the engine top. The spare wheels were placed on the fenders. If you look close to the photos and drawings you know what I mean.
Then those return wheels. This type weren’t on the StuG.BriG.280 Stug's They had the simple versions whit only the 6 holes in them. And if you are working on these put the two wheels closer together. Every one in the whole world makes this mistake (even the top builders and Dragon) and I do not know why. The space between the return wheels must be just enough to fit the horn of the tracks. If it was like you and the rest of the world are building them the panzer while loose it's tracks in the first bend it would make.

All whit all I like your project and hope to see it finished soon.

Al the best

Marcel
