Saipan Type 97: final stages

Hello all,
after a few busy months at work/a bit of the modeling doldrums, I'm getting closer to finishing my Tamiya Type 97. I've added Fruil tracks, epoxy tarps, spare track armor, cargo rack & cargo. Final weathering left; I hope to be completely finished in the next week or so.

As you can see in these last two photos, my cargo rack is attached (but not glued), but it needs more "weight" to keep the support cables taught; I am stumped and open to suggestions. The first photo shows how it rests normally, the second is how I'd like it to look.
