The counterweights in the video is one variation with sides following turret wall slope and thats why they have that pronounced taper. The one I depicted is with a less (much less if none) side slope if I should chop as per your suggestion I will obtain the side sloped version.
Unfortunately also counterweights have different shapes probably depending on subcontractor. I had a similar issue with lifting rings where AFV and Academy give you the standard lift ring but almost all early/mid M10 in photos (also the one in your photo..) sports lifting rings with base (like Chrysler type).
Interesting in the photo you took from video did you notice that early grousers holder on turret is still present? Are they Early M10 retrofitted with "new" counterweights?
