Re: Ponytails were authorized in WW II?

I was a WAVE during Vietnam and as stated earlier this is a WAC uniform. Women in the military are suppose to have their hair above the top of the collar. A ponytail could not hang below this. I wore a ponytail but twisted it up above my collar with a hair pin to be legal.
