I know about the PE belt... it is the only way to reproduce MG ammo in my case, just because I canīt afford those luxurious turned ammo belts. I applied extra Mr. Surfacer on those shells to make them more round. Also, when painted, the 2D effect gets a bit lost, so I hope it would be okay.
On the other side of the MG, there is just an extra ammo belt hanging freely from the frame, this was inspired by one photo of the MG being covered in several ammo belts hanging from it.
