Hey Guys,
Here are a few pics of my inprogress DML M4A2 76W in Russian Service. I had planned on building it out of the box but I kinda lost track of that. Overall it's a great kit and besides the tools it really doesn't need anything else. I just have a severe case of AMS. Hoep you like
Cheers,
Bryan

I love what you have done, it will definately be a superb model when done. What s the story on the gun/muzzle brake combo?

Thanks for the kind words guys
Shawn the gun/muzzle brake combo is the kit offering. You get the choice of either a plastic barrel and M/B or a turned barrel and M/B. It's no the best option but it works. You do have to drill out the M/B though as the center baffle is molded solid, not a big deal really just an annoyance. HTH
cheers,
Bryan

Nice work, a few questions...

What numbers are you using for casting numbers?

How is the kit as far as accuracy? and What tracks will you be using?

Nice looking kit so far man, let us know how it turns out.

Does anyone else think . . .

December 1 2004, 5:32 PM

. . . that the 50 cal. machine gun pedestal is just too high? No refelction on you Bryan, great job, but I would be curious if anyone else thinks the kit part is just too tall.

Again, nice job Bryan!

Looks fantastic. Love those casting numbers and the Formations pioneer tools. Check the gun cradle though. It looks like it needs to be flipped.

Thanks for all the kind words of encouragement, it's really appreciated Kerry as far as the pedastal mount is concernced I would tend to agree with you and I think it needs to be cut down a few millimeter's, good eye.
Cheers,
Bryan

Awesome

It's looking good! What's with the white blotches on the turret? Are you trying to retexture the turret? If so how? I'm looking around to improve my armor texturing skills.

The texture is made with xtra thin Tamiya cement and grey putty. I daub it on, let dry then sand it down. I did this 3 times for a semi rough texture.
Grant I use a combination of Academy letters and numbers and Aber PE Letters and Numbers. HTH
