I corrected the mounting for the mantlet, at the suggestion of Frank De Sisto, it is now mounted higher then the original mount. I also added a spare antenna rod on the hull side and a tow cable on the rear plate. Yes, I know the tow cable is a bit too big, but it was the smallest thread I could find. 1/144 scale is not easy.

very nice

I especially like the tow cable. I recently bought one of the kits too and I'm a little confused about where PE part #2 is supposed to go since the instructions don't even mention the PE. I'm guessing it is supposed to be a replacement part for the detail on the back just above the exhaust.

Your not the only one -

Hi Yuri, the part you are talking about should go over the vent under the exhaust pipe. Only one problem, the PE part is one piece and the exhaust pipe cuts into the vent that it should go on. So to use it you would have to take out a piece of the PE part the size of the pipe and then mount the 2 remaining pieces on the sides of the pipe. Did that make sense? It was way to small to cut, so I left it off.
Thanks
Mike

Very nice. I like to see people doing good work in small scales. I came to see this at the urging of your friend Frank and was not disappointed. Keep up the good work. Tim Treadway
