Hi fellows...

This model it was one of my last acquisitions from eBay...

I didn't have this model in my collection and it was difficult to get a...

Eastern Zis-42 half-track truck...

If I knew what I found!!!

The kit:

Flashs and pin-marks:

The tracks ...Oh,Gods...They make the more braves cry...

Welll...
No pain, no gain...

Decal..the instructions ( eeeeww!!) simply ignore the decals...

Any help ??

Well..Build begins:

Chassi:

Making details with cooper wire in the engine hood:

The rear suspension are awful!!! The parts simply not fit...

After blood, sweat and tears...

In the instructions booklet, the exhaust pipe is listed in wrong side...fixed and more detais..

The cargo bed:

with errors, again..

Fuel tank:

fixing another etails...

The cabin:

I will build the initial model, early, without the front grill, that is very rude in the model...

I think the truck is nicer without the grill...I donīt like the Zis-42 M..

Ops...I forgot about the tires...they are made of rigid plastic, not vinyl...

Ufff!!

and the first dry-run:

Well...there is this, until now...

any suggestions about cammo ????

Cool subject!!!!!

Nice build and a great attention getter for the pros and cons.

Good photos

I agree, I think the track alone would scare off most with the exception of the toughest Russian fanes.

Will be waiting for more.

I see that it's not a very good kit. Can I ask you, how much should I expect to spend to get one?
