Greetings fellow ML'ers;

There has been many gorgeous Shermans posted lately, so I thought I'd throw one in myself, this is my latest model, a kit-bash in 1/48 of several models to (hopefully) recreate an accurate M4A1 76mm.
The model was finished in Tamiya & Gunze acrylics, and the weathering was done using oils, and MiG pigments, used both wet & dry.
I am still working on a fig, and this model will be featured in an up-coming issue of Military in Scale magazine.
All feedback is, as usual, greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance for looking.

Thanks again, Lads, and Cheers, Pat

Very very nice!

I like it!

Two things I noticed: 1) the upper right oval taillight lens was black and not red and 2) the small oval hole at the right edge of the loader's hatch rim should be filled. A MG barrel prop was to be glued there.

Would you mind describing how you did the paintwork and the weathering? It's amazingly realistic.

Nice job Pat!

Pat this model really impresses me.

The paint is phenomenal and the way you varied the stowage colors so that it appears faded -excellent!

Love the red tool box too. One brightly colored item like that really provides a great contrast to all the flat faded paint-

Pat,
Man that came out great. The paint and stowage look excellent. I especially like the red/orange tool box on the rear end.

My sincerest thanks........

....to all that took the time to post on this model. I really appreciate the feedback.

This is for Bob: if you will look at the un-painted pics as a "guide", here is a list of what is what with this build....

dark green plastic: Tamiya M4A1.
light grey plastic: HobbyBoss M4A1 76mm(W).
light yellow resin: IronDivision M4A1 corrected upper hull & early T23 turret. Bob @ IronDiv is a true gentleman, and a modeller's modeller. Great bits and a great price and great service. I can't recommend them more highly if you are after 1/48 Sherman bits.
photo-etch is Hauler.
And I scratched several small details in brass, such as all grab handles, and the episcope guards.
The stowage is a mix of VP, and some of the bits from the Legends set for the Firefly. Excellent set, as well.

Again, thanks to all of you who posted. I am humbled by the responses. I will post a pic when the kit is complete with it's commander figure added.

Cheers, Pat
