Hi guys,
Well not really really 100%, but 95% at least!

This has been a very challenging build indeed, and not something I'm likely to do again in the near future - if ever!

Gallery and final words to be found here:
http://www.hobbybokhandeln.net/?p=2881

Thanks for watching, and a big thanks to all of you who've encouraged me in the build, and shared you knowledge when I needed it!

I don't know about the artistry, but I do love the painting part of model building, that's my favourite thing.

Hi Hans!
It´s very impressive! I have watched from the start over at Hobbybokhandeln and it´s surely stunning work you have performed here. Okay I think if you had like 2-3 months more I´m sure you would have been able to do more but I think it´s topnotch after the time frame you had!
What´s next?!!!
Hälsningar från...just nu Värmland iaf.

One could definitely spendmore or less an eternity on this thing. Because of the sheer size, you can do some super cool "micro-weathering"!

Very nice but....

July 4 2009, 3:46 PM

Hi Hans,
Im watching your building from the first moment and I like result. I believe that it was not easy to build - too large with more than many parts. Building itself is perfect and painting as well but there is something missing. It looks to be like new/freshly built vehicle although it has some battle damages. It would be more dirty - more wash, dry or fresh mud, etc. I think it would be better but these can be covered in mentioned 5% of work you will do yet.
Congratulation
Marek

Will do

July 5 2009, 5:26 PM

Sure. As you mention, there should be more dirt and dust on it, though I don't want to do very much more in the form of more extensive damage simulation.
This machine had a total lifespan of three months, and was in actual battle for only 7 days (abandoned by the crew on Christmas eve 1944).
I'll post another gallery when I've done the "missing 5%"!

Great frigging job.

The Rounds look better then real.

How the heck did you paint them?

Turned metal or plastic.

Dang that is a good job.

Any base coming up for it?

Ammo

July 5 2009, 5:18 PM

Hi Jeff,
Thanks for your kind feedback!

The ammo is out-of-the-box, one piece styrene affairs.
I airbrushed them quite randomly with different Vallejo Model Air metallics. On top of that i placed a solid gloss coat. The different colored tops were handpainted Vallejo, and the black ammo I rubbed with some minute amounts of graphite powder on an old t-shirt.
A dio base and a figure would be great. It's a commissionary piece, no base or fig was ordered, alas!
