Hi all,
well here it is finished, ok so the turret bulge is a bit on the big side, i will know next time.
the figures are from the hobby fan set made for the churchill, but work rather well in a sherman, or ant other british vehicle come to that.
the decals are from bison, and are a pleasure to work with, very thin and easy to apply.
Ive had good fun with this one, with a big thank you to all who helped out with the infomation, you know who you are!! (-:

Yet another beauty

July 5 2009, 7:18 PM

Way to go Malc!
Every thing has come together. I just love the casting effect and the entire tank is beautiful. You were right about the figs they turned out great! Congrats on another beauty and good luck with this one in the contest. Just remember you were thinking of the crew when you were putting on the cheek armor, they will be safe happy.gif
Congrats again on a job well done!!!!!!
Bob

Looks good indeed.

But I think you missed the end of that box.

Would tie it down also.

Nice job on it the whole thing.

Hi Jeff,
the box was put there to see what it would photograph like, as it was a new way i tried of painting wood, so its not fixed in place.

thanks,
malc.

Lovely Finishing- Devil in the detail

July 5 2009, 8:29 PM

One small detail (The other has been discussed - bulge) is the figures have RTR beret badges whilst the kit represents an East Riding Yeomanry vehicle which has a Running Fox over a Scroll which looks entirely different to the ones on your figures. Just a small point but lovely finish and weathering.
Cheers
Al

Hiya Mate,
You've made a lovely job of that Sherman, really nice. What colour did you use for the base coat?

Regards
