Hello friends.
Long time without post here, but a bit busy as a usual.
I finished this new and little vehicle mainly for the new magazine of Marcus Nicholls,
http://www.militaryillustratedmodeller.com/
It was build by my friend Carlos Cuesta. Thank you!
This subject is great, because can be made in many scenaries, from 1943 to 1945 (it was deisgned in 1941!!)
The camo was inspired in a modern soviet 2S3.
To make this kind of vehicles is always funny, and the size helps a lot!

Thank you

Wow

April 26 2011, 6:46 PM

What else can I say. Your up to your normal high standards Mig. The weathering effects are fantastic as always. That Dozer motor is gorgeous, the chipping and weathering is superb. I can't wait to see the rest of the Dozer.

cheers

I hope not!

April 27 2011, 3:10 PM

Rob, i hope doen't paint the whole caterpillar because is very huge and is too big for me!
I just make the favor to my friend to paint the engine, and also to test some new products.

Also, thank you very much for your comments. I really apreciate it!

Thank you

Hobby Boss VK1602

April 26 2011, 9:32 PM

Bruce-
I believe it is the Hobby Boss VK1602 kit 1/35th scale.

Mig- I am with Rob. The tank is fantastic- but there is something about that dozer engine...

Reminds me of my childhood on the farm. Great stuff!

like Bruce said in his reply, it is HobbyBoos kit, very simple to build and funny to paint because is very small, is like a small Panther.

thanks both guys!

green master

Its tough to make basic green look as good as this model. The tone of the dirt and dust is perfect as well.

Nice weathering effects specially on upper hull sides, great work. Modern russian camo suits for this vehicle.

About CAT engine, it's very fascinating! Simple, single colour object and still packed full of interest.

All best,

YOU HAVE NO IDEA....

April 27 2011, 3:17 PM

of german fashion! Hi, hi....
This Leo is really cool, much more nice than the modern one!!!
I hope you have different criteria for girls!!

Thank you so much Gunnar, but the weathering is not so special, just the classic one. I would like to prove muy self, doing something more risky. The next one!

Take care

Very cool!

April 27 2011, 5:25 PM

Hola MiG;

Very cool little leo, Mig. It's your usual excellent work, but what always catches my eye the most on your work is way you get the overlapping effects of dry dust and wet drips/stains. That always looks so good on your kits.

And I saw the Caterpillar engine on your blog...very cool. And greasy!

Cheers, from an always impressed fan, Pat

Gun Barrel?

April 28 2011, 12:50 AM

I saw this model at the AMPS show and as usual your models are fantastic. Is the main gun an aftermarket barrel? the end of the barrel is really unique, not like the typical 5 cm gun seen with a PUMA turret. i assume the muzzle brake was left off?
