Hello Guys,

Here are a few pics of what lve been working on.

The figures are from Stalingrad, Master Box, MIG, and Tamiya.

The truck is the Einheitsdiesel from I.B.G. it has the Tamiya Field Kitchen in it.
(I.B.G. have just announced this)

The Smithy, tools houses and fence are scratch-built.

In the Smithy the vice, anvil and two hammers are from various kits (the vice is being changed at the moment for a leg vice which is more appropriet for a blacksmiths (more Scratchbuilding:) )

Please excuse the pics I cant find the charger for my usual camera and so its my lack of knowlage of the one l was using.

comments welcome

Anto

Blimey - that's a good 'un !

Hi
Love it.
Needed to do similar myself, so that's v useful.

May I suggest that if the tools are being regularly used, they'd be less rusty and more shiny or another colour. I see too many red browns there.

Impressed by the wood chopping too !

Dioramas rule!

Cheers
Andrew

Hi Andrew,

Thank you for your kind remarks.

I have more tools to go in like flatters and shapers as well as some horse shoes.
My friend (another Anthony) is a blacksmith so I had a good look as some of his tools, some are as you said shiny and metalic colour but most are like the ones in the pics, he says the heat rusts them as well as the dipping in water for cooling after a day they are rusting away and there is rust everywhere even on the hammers.

The pics of the Smithy were taken a week or two ago I have replaced the vice

More pics soon.

Anthony

New Vice.

April 26 2012, 11:40 AM

I built this lastnight.

It will replace the modern vice in the Smithy
Its a Blacksmiths vice commonly called a leg vice for obvious reasons and known in the US as a box vice.
