The Trumpeter NKL-26 appears to have some serious dimensional issues[although to be fair production was hardly standardised and who is to say this variant didn't exist as per kit]
Nevertheless all period photos indicate a totally different profile, as well as positioning of the door and suspension arms. I've gone with the Tankograd plans and all that is left of the original kit are the skis and engine - even this had to be shortened as it has a fictitious rear projection so that the propellor will clear that fat ***!
MG shield is my first attempt at machining brass. Gunner is DML, Scouts are Helo Miniatures. Stowage mainly scratchbuilt.
Still some errors which bug me, but at least it looks a bit more like the real deal.

I love everything about this model Ian - The build is excellent, the figures are great, the goundwork is amazing, and the shot with the winter scene in the background blows me away !!!!!

Your comments are much appreciated Tony. I'm a sucker for "scenic" shots and collect atmospheric views from old calendars to use as backdrops. Must learn how to photoshop...
