1:16 BT-7 update

Some progress on the BT-7: the laser cut hull plates are in, and they look much better than I expected. The edges are sharp and with minimal melted edges and other irregularities. I taped the plates together to test their fit and so far it looks good.

The turret is slowly taking shape now. I got a turned metal barrel from a friend and I started work on the commander's P-40 AA gun mount.

Thats really looking nice. So those side plates were laser cut? I can see the advantage of that.
But be a devil and add an interior it would be outstanding.

All the best

Hi Eelke,

You are going very fast this time!

Because the hatch of the turret cant be opened, would it be an idea to place the hatch in the hull in an open position?I think once your BT7 is finished it looks even more interesting.Maybe Rutger can sculpt a half figure to put inside happy.gif

Thanks guys. I will keep this model simple with all hatches shut. I have enough trouble to get it all together without an interior! Maybe on my next model I'll open some hatches and a figure by Rutger pepping out of the turret ; -)
