Some days ago ....

http://www.network54.com/Forum/110741/message/1338681011/Tamiya%B4s+Enigma.

.... and now, the 99% finished kit (you know, once looking the pictures you ALWAYS find details to improve....).

The finished?? Enigma:

The next one is waiting aroud the corner thanks to my friend Cesar Gonzalez... the best suited kit for a new Black&White base attempt!

As usually, any opinion or suggestion will be highly apreciated. Thanks for looking!

Amazing results

Beautiful. What impressed me the most is how you weathered parts in the B/W painting process and it shows through in the final topcoat. These are saved for future reference.

Thank you very much James! It´s easy, you just need tints or a highly thinned paint in several fine coats

Truly a work of art!!!!!! I have one question about your base coat....

June 13 2012, 11:14 PM

Is the fading for the yellow with oils or did you air brush the highlights???

Also, your chipping, how did you do that??

THANKS!!

I used oils, Naples Yellow (from Winsor&Newton) is just PERFECT for this task.

Enigma

June 14 2012, 12:44 PM

Jose,
I see that there are more finely evecuted Enigmas' coming along! The model looks excellent. The way you threated the tankj with diverse shading effects is very pleasing, the chiipping effects are of finest level too, in particullar I like the looks of the additional fuel tanks. Very inspiring effort. I even consider getting me one of these happy.gif

Best regards,

Radek

Re: In my opinion...

June 14 2012, 2:53 PM

Jordi, thanks for the awesome compliment but I fear it is too far from reality. For my taste, there are many excellent modelers in Spain not only painting, but also super-detailing and documenting their kits much more than me. In that way I´m far away to be a complete modeler.

Anyway, once again, thank you very much for your comment! I´m soo happy that tonight I´ll not disturb my wife!

Jagdtiger and Tiger in 1/48 scale , PanzerIII N DAK, Panzer IV, Sherman Mk.III, Enigma,... believe me, your painting level is very impressive for me.

Me expreso mejor en castellano, a nivel de pintura, creo que eres lo mejorcito que ha salido en los últimos años en el ámbito nacional (más claro el agua).

Espero poder disfrutar viendo en directo de ese modelo en algún concurso nacional.

Saludos/regards

Truly inspirational,

June 14 2012, 5:25 PM

following this on FB has been intriguing and fascinating, what really impresses is not only the many variations of colour tones , but how you've achieved a richness of tone given the black and white base coats.I imagine we'll be seeing a lot of modellers emulating this technique including me happy.gif
