Taking a break from my M577 project and working on a Hobby Boss 'Defender Hardtop' instead.

The vehicle will be finished in the markings of 3 Commando Brigade and the model has a number of RM-specific features such as deep wading snorkel, cold weather heater gear, escape panel in the roof, mudflaps and roof bars (also seen on some army vehicles but nowhere near as common as on RM vehicles).

The roof unit is still loose so you may notice it doesn't sit quite right on the body in the photos.

I like old school - appreciate that others use different approaches but I stick with what I know and love because it's what I feel most comfortable with.

I seem to have a fetish for Land Rovers at the moment - I'm lining up projects like they're going out of fashion (it might get as bad as my old addiction to M113s at this rate - oh, I forgot, I'm building an M577 as well!).
