BELGRADE -- The Christian Democratic Party of Serbia (DHSS) on Wednesday urged the partition of Kosovo.

The province, according to the party headed by former justice minister Vladan Batić, should be divided to the north and south parts along the Ibar River.

DHSS Deputy President Milan St. Protić, speaking in a news conference on Wednesday, also recommended that Belgrade should "clearly define its ultimate goals".

"The partition of Kosovo, whichever option is chosen, is a realistic outcome and the maximum that Serbia can achieve," Protić told reporters.

He urged the current government "to clearly define, either publically or within plans and preparations for future diplomatic activities, exactly where this maximum is with regards Kosovo and Metohija, without threatening the country's other vital interests".

Protić added that it is necessary to make a good estimate whether the partition of Kosovo, "coupled with a wise, clever and patient policy", could be realized either by incorporating territories to the north of the Ibar into central Serbia, or by rendering them a separate entity with a high level of autonomy from Priština, and special relations with Belgrade.

Ibar river

Not late!

Thae world has changed! Now all kind of redividing of territories is more real than before!
If the claim will be announced clearly - it is possible! And such an idea will be supported by the majority of the Kosovo separation opposers.

I do not get it. Two politicos, from the same party, cannot agree on a common foreign policy towards NATO. One says divide, the other says, you can keep all Kosovo, but give them autonomy. But they already have autonomy.

What kind of negotiators are these?

I haven't been in Kosovo in my life and I may not be there anytime soon. That's why I am little skeptical for any imposed solution.

Peace? Fat chance

The NATO boys are in the war business. They have pirates, like the UCK boys,or the death squads in Colombia, or the Contras in Nicaragua, all working for them. Like they used to have BinLaden working for them.

But they are not doing very well in their dealings with Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Georgia. They need some success, they need to show some good result to their ignorant masses, and Kosovo is their great humanitarian success. They have saved the "Kosovars" from the Serb genocidal beasts. So it is unlikely that they will compromise on Kosovo, particularly because Russia supports Serbia.

Also they need a continuing crisis there, by which to continue to show Turks and moderate moderate Muslims that NATO loves them.

I wish to be that easy. However international community will not accept double standard. If Serbia wants north of Mitrovica then what about Presevo Valley, Vojvodina, Sandzak? they want to leave Serbia too. Apperantly none wanto to leave with Serbia. So bottom line - partition is not possible.

Decrees

September 14 2008, 4:36 AM

The President of the United States decided to donate the nation of the Sahara to the King of Morocco.

The President of the United States decided to donate the nations of East Timor and of West Papua to General Soeharto,

The President of the United States decided to donate, to Thaci&Co, all the various nations residing in Kosovo--none of which want to be separate from co-nationals across the President-approved new international border. Not the oppressed nations, Serbs, Montenegrins, Gorani, Roma, or Turks. Not even the happy Albanians.

That's how the President started four profitable wars and occupations.

The American satellites which form the "International Community" have decreed that the principle of self-determination is not valid for normal oppressed nations like Turks in Bulgaria or Kurds in Turkey. Nor for the Ibo of Nigeria, although targeted with genocide. Only non-oppressed nations in Slav federal states are approved for secession by the International Community.
