While scanning Bunn's "Dodge Pickup History and Restoration Guide" I stumbled on a reference to a "rear fender step plate" for Pilothouse trucks. Evidently it was an extra cost option "to ease loading and unloading." I have never seen pictures or other references to the step plates and cannot find them listed in the Dodge parts book. Anyone ever seen any or know what they look like? Thanks.

GTK. Thanks for the info. Even armed with the part number I still couldn't find them listed in my parts book. What section are they listed in? What do they look like (round, oval, rectangle; metal, rubber; etc.)? When you're done with yours, send them to me. On a similar note, I wouldn't mind some of those step plates/mud scrappers (for your muddy boots) you see mounted on some old truck running boards. Don't believe they were available for Dodges but Speedway has some with Dodge logo for $56/pr, or so. Not sure how they would look on pilothouse runningboard since so much is hidden under door when closed. They might look good between cab and rear fender though . . .any thoughts?

and I will email the photos. I am trying to finish up the layout work on www.pilot-house.com and I will post the photos in the "Options" section. If you are in a rush I can email them.
