Hello,

I have two Dodge Job Rated Trucks. One is a 49 flat bed with the 230 CID Flat head 6cyl. The other is a 51 Dump Truck (5yrd) wich also has the 230 CID flat head 6cyl but also has the pto transmission that is used to drive the hydrolic cyl for the dump box.

These were both on the property that I just bought. Between the two I believe there is enough metal to make one frame off restoration. Anyway I was wondering which year should I try and restore. Is it even worth it? Is there a market for parts for these trucks? I was just wondering if any one can help me find some more info. Thank you for your time. Maybe someone needs some parts or would like to buy them?

What size are they, 1 ton? How much rust? Have you tried getting either started yet? What part of the country are you in? Both a flat bed and a dump would be nice to have if you have a use for them. Parts are definately available and it's always nice to have a spare on the property. Let us know what you choose.
