Are most body parts interchangeable between 1948 and 1952 Dodge B models I have a 1949 Dodge B1B and just got a 1951 Dodge B for the bed and most body parts look like they will interchange. Have had the 1949 for 20 years and just now am able to give it the care it needs. Thanks

It is my opinion that almost all of the 48-52 (and some 53 parts?) are the same. The book Dodge Pickup Trucks (available on Amazon) details any of the subtle changes from year-to-year, but I believe for the most part they are the same. Jay

Many parts will swap. Some that won't hood and front grill 48-50 are different from51-53.There is a waterfall design inside the door of 48-50 that isn't 51-53.Strg box mount is also different 51-53.51 can also have strg column mounted gear shift. These are the ones that I know. You will have to check for others.Jim

I'm not sure which year they began, but the 48, 49& 50's fenders are not as long on the back side. The newer one also sweeps backward at the bottom. This, the hood, dash cluster, and nose piece are the major outer changes.
