Hi there,
A friend of mine was recently in a car accident- luckily he wasn't badly hurt, but it got me to thinking how unsafe my truck is. I was wondering if anyone out there had put together any kind of seatbelts for use with the original seat? I'd like to keep the seat in, but would feel a little better knowing that myself and my passengers are safe.
Thoughts? Jay

Seatbelts are the first addition to all my vintage rides. I added 3 pair to my '49 B1c using the stock seats. Mounting point is the cab floor. Check the WIP section at www.pilot-house.com for some photos.

I echo gtk's sentiment. I got some belts from J. C. Whitney when my 49 half ton was first dragged home. They are easy to install and do not impact original seat at all. I only put in two and have regretted not having a third one many times.

gtk, Very nice truck, I am curious about the door panels , they almost look like aluminum sheets? What are they made from? Good idea on the backup lights I have a 53 half ton, which is subbed with a Chevy small block and 350 turbo and Camaro rear end if I cant hook up the back up light I might go your way, thanks for the tip.

I had a 64D100 with no belts and took belts from a Cordoba bolted them to floor with large spacers under and slipped thru seat
