Ok i have a problem. I have a rear drum that won't come off. I pulled so hard with the puller i bent the **** out of it. Had it off before and the others to they have no problem. I had it off like only a week before if got stuck. I also am looking for a new one ofcourse but i still can't get it off. Once i have a new one I'm to the point I'm going to cut it off with who knows what. but thats how it looks. I hope there is someone out there that has a better idea or at least recomend a way to cut it off.

Drum Puller

You're probably using this type already. But I've always used a puller type that attaches to the drum by way of three wheel bolts; has a spindle in the middle that presses against the axle; put some pressure on the wheel bolts; strike the end of the puller spindle with a hammer; repeat tension on bolts if necessary, strike the spindle. Drum will make a sometimes loud popping noise, and it comes off.

Hub puller

Search using "hub puller" on E-bay to see examples of pullers available. J.C. Whitney may also have. They usually go for $50-80 (or more). Local tool rental outfits may have one. Here is one I saw in a quick search -- http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2408452851&category=10368

P.S. I messed up a drum when I first got my truck doing the same thing with a three-arm puller that grips the outside of the drum.

Has photos of the correct puller and tips for getting stuck drums off. You must make sure the shoes are fully retracted from the drum, including both the major and minor adjusters. If the shoes are rusted to the drum then remove the bolts for the major adjusters from the backing plates and ast the drum moves out the shoes will pull away form the drum. Don't use a puller that attaches to the drum edge, only the type that bolts to the lugs.
