Hello,

You guys have a real nice forum here. My father and I are both truck nuts. But the difference is I have a computer and he doesn't. I've been working on him for years. He even enjoys reading the threads on here when he is at my house. But alas, I am now a member on his behalf. He is doing a restoration on a 1950 1 ton Dodge. My father's restorations are beautiful things. O.E.M. and details, details, details. He is looking for some lug nuts. He is missing a few. He has discovered that he can't buy them exactly like the originals. I thought someone here might be able to help us. He is looking for 12 - 9/16, left hand thread, tapered lug nuts that fit a 1" socket. He has found a company that sells ones that fit 7/8". And he found a company that sold them in the right size but an acorn style. But my father is very particular. He wants them to be just like the ones that rolled off the line. Does anyone have a parts truck they'd be willing to part with some lug nuts from? Thanks in advance for any help in this matter.

Erin (and Larry) Edmister

Just a suggestion, ask the guys in the forum at Pilot-house.com to look in the parts book for the correct part number. It looks like the later 50 models could have different nuts front and rear.

You will need the serial number of your truck, then try the number at partsvoice.com Sometimes is suprising what you can find.

Hi Frank,

That's a pretty good idea. I told dad to bring me his serial number. Thanks again.
