I have a 1952 Flatbed that I just bought that I would like to find out some more about. The model is B3HHA-152, I cannot find anything on the net to tell me what the HHA stands for. It does have a GVW of 16,000. Can anyone help? Not sure if it was some special order or what, it was originally a water tanker truck for a rural fire department.

Try this web site. http://www.t137.com/registry/help/decode.php
You can insert your serial number and get some information about your truck.
I believe all "H" series were "2 Ton" trucks. There are several models in the "H" series. H, HH, HHA, HM, HHM, etc. I'm not sure what they all refer to. It seems that there were different wheel bases within the "H" series trucks too, but your VIN shows that you have the 152 inch version.

Medium and Heavy-duty Classifications

DU 1-ton route van
EU 1 1/2-ton route van
F, FM^ 1 1/2-ton

G, GA* GM**, GMA*^ 1 1/2-ton

H, HA*^, HH, HHA*, HN HM^ , HMA*^ 1 1/2-ton (some are rated at 2-ton depending on year and model)

HHM^, HHMA^* 2-ton

Since its a flatbed I would be willing to guess it's a 1 and a 1/2 ton.
