My son is urging me to put a little muscle in the 3/4 ton truck we're working on. How easy/hard will it be to replace the original 6cyl with an early model (54-55)hemi? Can I use the original 4 speed?

What did you find out? On v8 over 6? I am also thanking about doing something, maybe with 318 or v6.Looks like a big job without doing alot more. Like old look, but the get up and go.
