Does 1996 Hilux = 1989 4-Runner??

I have a 1996 Toyota Hilux, in Guyana S.A. I also have a 1989 Toyota 4-Runner in the USA. Boby parts seem to be the same size but I'm not sure if such things like bumbers and brush guards bought in the USA for a 4-Runner will fit my Hilux. Any ideas?
