Seqouia Woes

I have a 2001 Seqouia that has a recurring problem with the air bag sensor mounted on the steering column shaft. There is a spring located inside this sensor that creaks whenever you make steering inputs at low speeds.

Anyone with a Sequoia experiencing this problem?
