Clutch Start Cancel Switch

by Chasman (no login)

Hello,
I just purchased a 1995 Toyota 4Runner SR5, and I'm having trouble finding out exactly how to use the "Start Clutch Cancel" button.
I've done a little bit of poking around on the web to see what might be available, but I've only found very brief descriptions about what it's supposed to do.
I guess it allows to to start the 4Runner in gear without having to depress the clutch...
I tried messing around with it and I wound up with less rubber on the tires and nothing else.
Unfortunately, an owners manual did not come with my purchase and I'll have to track one down somehow on Ebay or something.
Any help on how (and why) to use this would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Chas
