Sequoia Limited 2nd row center console: Can it be removed?

My wife wants a new Toyota Sequoia. For access purposes, she wants to remove the 2nd row seating console so the kids can have easier access to the 3rd row seating. Can this be done? Is there carpet underneath the console? Will it look good? I hate to mess up a $40,000+ vehicle.
