strange 4runner noises

Hi all,

I purchased a 99 4runner sr5 4x4 and I've put
on about 600 miles. I've noticed that when one
of my wheels hit a pothole or a big crack or depression on the street, I hear a suspension clunk. Is this normal for 4runners? This doesn't happen when I hit a bump though.

Is the 4runner suppose to have a quiet suspension or is it suppose to clunk a bit? I don't mind a rough ride, but I don't want strange noises.

Is the 4runner suppose to be a quiet and smooth ride?
