94 Surf's in Australia

Hi,

I am about to purchase a 94 Surf 3.0L and I am finding it hard to get finance due to the fact that it is an imported vehicle and the banks/finance agencies will not use the car as security as they say they cannot get a market price for the vehicle. I was just interested whether anyone else had come across this and what they may have done to arrange finance.
