I was volunteering at our local charity pro am golf tourney saturday and Kevin was there. I was security of all things(on my first shift on monday a guy commented, "Security? You're security? You're too little to be security." And then he laughed. I started to tell him I was one tough little amazon, little did he know.

My job was to check credentials of those going into the banquet hall. I was at the end of the long breezeway at the clubhouse. I had been keeping an eye out for Kevin, because I knew he was going to be there. He walked into the pro shop, and then sat on a bench. I was just working up the nerve to go up and speak to him, and to say hello from all of us at the Castle, when the head of volunteers called me inside to help. Of course, when I came back out he was gone.
What is it about Murphy's Law? Just my luck, huh?
When I volunteered on monday, I did have a strange experience, though. It was freezing as I stood on my guard duty. I was practically bouncing on my toes to stay warm when a group of guys approached me. The one nearest me fumbled in his jacket trying to locate his tag, and mumbled, "It's in here somewhere." I remember thinking at the time, "Wow, he looks just like Dennis Quaid." Turns out, it was him. I found out later in the week that he was part of the celebrity lineup.
