This is good, since I was completely without internet connection for the past 7 days. Apparantly Cox Cable is doing some server changes, and the server they switched to on this past Saturday wasn't letting us auto-detect the IP address. So, the guy came over earlier today and set it up manually for us. Of course, if I had known that was the problem I could've probably fixed it myself, but oh well.
Next week is a little shakey. The servers are supposed to switch again on Friday night and with all the modems connecting at once, I can't be sure I'd be able to get back online immediately amongst all the server load. However, next week is gonna be a short trip, so maybe it won't matter.
